Sutton Street Pastors were on the awarding panel for Sutton Best Bar None Awards and were last night guests at Best Bar None Awards Ceremony at Sutton Holiday Inn. These were the culmination of hard work led by Safer Sutton Partnership. The aim is to raise the standards of clubs, bars and pubs across the borough. Sutton had one of the best take ups for the scheme in the UK. Evidence demonstrates that crime is reduced and business increased in establishments that are members of the scheme.
There were 33 entries. Awards were given by Borough Commander Guy Ferguson and Leader of the Council Sean Brennan. Best Club and Overall Winner was Club Revolution. Best Town Centre Bar and Guardian Readers Choice was Ivory Lounge. The Woodman was voted best Town Centre Pub for second year running and best community pub was Nonsuch Inn.
